ServiceNow ITSM Lead Developer(15+ years) Remote Visa: USC & GC only Duration: End of the year C2C Interview Mode: Virtual Looking for someone who has reverse engineered current ITSM functionalities and been apart of a rebuild. This is very high level! Need for a developer to overhaul the service management module installed in 2015, focusing on ITIL best practices and process governance. The role requires a balance of 30% communication and 70% coding, with a strong technical advocate for project management. The developer will work on incident, change, request, catalog, and portal modules, preparing for AI integration. Mentorship of junior developers is a key responsibility, and while local preference is noted, the role is open to remote candidates. Required Qualifications Technical Expertise: 7+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and ITSM modules, with a strong background in scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript) and web technologies. Proven track record of architecting and delivering complex ServiceNow implementations, including design, build, and deployment phases. Hands-on experience with reverse engineering legacy systems and rebuilding them with modern practices and frameworks. Leadership & Project Management: Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale IT projects and managing multi-environment code promotions. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions. Experience mentoring and leading junior developers, fostering an environment of technical excellence and collaboration. Process & Governance: In-depth knowledge of ITSM best practices and process re-engineering methodologies. Experience establishing and enforcing governance frameworks to ensure system integrity, security, and compliance. Ability to design and implement new process flows that align with business objectives and improve operational efficiency. Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven experience working in agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead meetings, manage expectations, and drive consensus. Preferred Qualifications ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and/or Certified Application Developer credentials. Experience with integration of ServiceNow Service Management with other enterprise systems: ITOM/CMDB, and SPM/Demand/Agile 2.0. Familiarity with modern development practices such as DevOps and CI/CD pipelines in the context of ServiceNow.
