IDS connects data to investment analysis by overseeing all aspects of the data management life cycle. They work closely with investment programs to understand their business data and decision support requirements, develop tools to extract valuable and timely information, and continuously improve processes and systems to ensure high levels of data integrity and availability. The IDS team is seeking seasoned SQL development expertise to successfully assist with ongoing business initiatives. Scope: The Investment Decision Support team is seeking an experienced Senior ETL Developer with strong database, programming, and analytical skills to actively participate in the following scope of work: Assist with overall ETL Support (development, production support, documentation) and other development efforts as needed. Activities may include: ETL Production Support Monitor and maintain existing ETL processes. Code Data Movement - Provide support in the design, development, and implementation of ETL packages with SSIS. Development - SQL Development support to include creation of stored procedures, views, etc. Performance Tuning - Review existing SQL Queries, Execution Plans, Partitions, and Index(s) to determine performance enhancements for long running queries. Data Manipulation - Provide alternative options to existing data manipulation techniques. Examples would be converting Excel manipulation activities into SSIS packages that reduce process/cycle time of data preparation. Required Skills 7+ years of experience in ETL SQL development Experience with SQL Server Integration Services Experience writing technical documentation (requirements, process maps, etc.) Excellent communicator and be able to produce clear and concise documentation Demonstrated experience working in a team environment Demonstrated experience working independently with only high-level guidance Additional Preferred Skills Experience with data governance best practices/procedures Investment/financial market industry experience This position will be on a contract basis for a period of approximately 12 months with the potential for an extension.
