Please let me know if you are interested in the position Title: Senior Technical Writer Location:Hybrid(NYC , NY)- will prefer local candidates Duration: 6 months contract Visa Restrictions: No H1b/CPT Job Description: Responsibilities: Translate complex software and data concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation. Develop web-based, multi-page documentation with navigational links, as well as PDF documents for distribution. Document data models, tables, attributes, APIs, reports, and related artifacts. Leverage document management platforms to structure and maintain technical documentation. Work with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to gather insights and create meaningful content. Evaluate and improve content organization for better usability. Engage with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and documentation alignment with business needs. Play a key role in rebuilding and optimizing documentation platforms like SharePoint and Confluence. Work closely with tech and engineering leads to create structured, high-quality technical documentation. Join a team that values information architecture, clear communication, and collaboration. Independently drive projects while shaping the documentation strategy for cutting-edge financial and data products. Required Experience and skills: 8-10 years of experience in technical writing, with a focus on software, data products, and engineering programs. Expertise in information architecture, with a proven ability to structure large-scale documentation projects. Experience in financial services or securities industry preferred. Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and hit the ground running. Comfortable with transformational programs and large-scale presentations. Experience documenting hardware and software products. Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required. Must have prior experience working with data products and a deep understanding of data models related to financial assets. Preferred Skills & Experience Prior experience working on SharePoint and Confluence documentation rebuilds. Strong background in data-driven documentation and engineering programs. Ability to articulate deliverables clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. Experience working in a client-facing role, collaborating across various teams.
