The ideal candidate will identify bottlenecks, optimize system configurations, and enhance performance scalability, particularly within large Oracle databases (50+ TB) and Exadata clusters. Key Responsibilities: Analyze, evaluate, and improve system performance across multiple tiers. Identify and resolve scalability bottlenecks. Optimized Oracle database performance in AWS and on-prem environments using AWR, ASH, and ADDM reports. Conduct system load simulations, performance tuning, and extrapolate behavior under stress conditions. Communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Provide root cause analysis (RCA) for performance-related issues. Required Skills & Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in: Application/system performance analysis and troubleshooting. Performance tuning for large Oracle databases (50+ TB) in AWS. Oracle Exadata clusters and non-Exadata database tuning. Linux scripting, SQL tuning, and session tracing. AWR, ASH, and ADDM report generation and analysis. Presenting complex performance results to diverse audiences. Oracle internals related to database performance. Preferred: Experience working in an Agile environment. Proficiency with JIRA and technical writing/diagramming tools (Visio, Erwin, MS Office Suite). Experience with PII/PHI data, HL7, and healthcare industry. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Work Schedule & Location: Hybrid role: 4 days remote, 1 day onsite (Wednesdays) in Austin, TX. Must be local to Austin, TX. May require occasional evening/weekend work with pre-approval.
