Please find the job details below: Job Title: Server Database Administrator Location: Richmond, VA (Work from Office) Duration: Long Term Contract Job Description / Scope of Work Includes, but not limited to: Experience: 10+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA. Database Versions: Hands-on experience with SQL Server 2016, 2017, 2019, and/or SQL Server 2022. Performance Tuning: Strong experience in performance tuning and query optimization using tools like SQL Profiler, Database Engine Tuning Advisor, and Dynamic Management Views (DMVs). Backup & Recovery: Expertise in designing and implementing backup and recovery strategies. HA/DR Solutions: Experience with implementing and maintaining high availability and disaster recovery solutions like Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, and Replication. Security: Knowledge of database security best practices, including encryption, authentication methods, and role-based access control. Scripting: Proficiency in T-SQL, Power, or other scripting languages. Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex database issues. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Data Management and Analytics, or similar.
