Job Title : Support Engineer Data Center & IT Infrastructure Location : Tampa, FL Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Support Engineer to provide technical support and maintenance for IT infrastructure, including desktop systems, servers, networks, storage, and data center operations. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth IT operations by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues while supporting enterprise IT environments. Key Responsibilities: 1. Desktop Support: Provide Level 1 & 2 support for end-user devices (Windows, macOS, Linux). Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and peripherals. Manage user accounts, permissions, and profiles in Active Directory (AD). Support remote users via VPN, RDP, and remote desktop tools. 2. Server Administration: Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers. Manage user access, security policies, and patch updates. Monitor server performance, logs, and backups. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and OS issues. 3. Network Support: Troubleshoot and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Manage LAN/WAN connectivity, VLANs, and network security. Assist in configuring and supporting VoIP systems. Work with ISPs and vendors for network issue resolution. 4. Storage & Backup Management: Configure and manage NAS/SAN storage systems. Ensure backup and disaster recovery solutions are in place. Monitor storage capacity and optimize performance. 5. Data Center Support: Perform rack and stack of servers, network devices, and storage units. Manage power and cooling systems within the data center. Coordinate with vendors for hardware replacements and upgrades. Monitor and maintain data center security, cabling, and asset inventory. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 2+ years of experience in IT support, infrastructure management, or data center operations. Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments. Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, VPN). Hands-on experience with storage solutions (NAS/SAN) and backup tools. Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V). IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, MCSA, ITIL) are a plus.
