The ideal candidate will be responsible for data engineering, ETL development, performance optimization, and advanced analytics while integrating Power BI for data visualization and reporting. Key Responsibilities: Databricks Engineering & Data Processing: Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Databricks (PySpark, Scala, SQL). Design and implement data lakehouse architecture with Delta Lake, Azure Data Lake, and Synapse Analytics. Optimize big data processing performance using caching, indexing, and partitioning strategies. Automate data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes. Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance. Power BI Development & Integration: Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards with interactive visualizations. Optimize DAX calculations, data models, and performance tuning for Power BI datasets. Establish DirectQuery, Import, and Live Connection modes for Power BI integration with Databricks and Azure Synapse. Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand reporting needs. Guide junior data engineers in best practices for Databricks development. Collaborate with cloud architects to improve infrastructure scalability and cost optimization. Required Skills & Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering with a focus on Databricks. Strong expertise in PySpark, Scala, SQL, and Delta Lake. Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse Analytics, etc.). Power BI expertise in report development, DAX, data modeling, and performance tuning. Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Databricks (Terraform, DevOps, GitHub Actions). Knowledge of cloud security best practices in Azure. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
