The primary responsibility of this role is to assist with the development and administration of ServiceNow, with a focus on catalog item configuration and management, as well as potentially knowledge and portal management. The ServiceNow Developer will help implement and administer ITSM (IT Service Management) processes using ServiceNow, adhering to best practices such as ITIL standards. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the integration and organizational adoption of ITSM processes, including Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management, and Request Fulfillment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: ServiceNow Administration & Development: Implement, configure, and administer ServiceNow, enabling ITSM processes, including adding and modifying workflows, assisting with system configuration updates, and supporting changes. Process Development & Improvement: Develop ITSM process activities, including policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize customer service support and performance. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate process standards to ensure understanding and adoption across the organization. Contribute to meetings with technical experts and laypersons to discuss system functionality and improvements. Collaboration & Strategy: Work with service/process owners to define configuration management processes and develop strategies to enhance procedures according to ITIL best practices. Continuous Improvement: Research, analyze, and propose strategies to enhance ITSM processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness aligned with industry standards and best practices. Specialized Experience, Education, Training, or Qualifications: Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent professional technical or administrative experience with ServiceNow. Proficient in JavaScript for ServiceNow development. Experience writing policies/procedures for ITSM best practices. Experience with Database reporting tools . Experience with Business Process Re-Design/Improvement (BPR/I). Preferred Experience: ITIL Certification. Understanding of Jelly, JEXL, HTML, XML, Bootstrap, and/or AngularJS. Programming/scripting knowledge in Java, Power, and/or SQL. Must Have Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Required: ITIL Certification Preferred: Additional relevant certifications are a plus.
