Senior Backend Engineer Development & Automation Location: REMOTE Exp:10+ Key Accountabilities: Work in scrum development team and add integration tests within sprint cycles Work with QA leadership to conduct testing activities in line with bp Pulse test strategy Build and maintain test tools and custom system integration testing frameworks for backend Work with backend developers to ensure testability of backend system for integration and system integration testing Implement performance/load testing Essential Education and Experience: Bachelor's or master's in computer science or equivalent industry experience 8+ years of professional software development experience as backend engineer or SDET (Software Developer in Test) using JavaScript/Typescript Good Experience and knowledge of TDD, BDD and/or ATDD Expert level knowledge of JavaScript/Typescript and NodeJS Expert in JavaScript testing tools such as Jest, Jasmine, Detox, and Playwright Expert in building and testing REST API s Familiar with React and React Native Familiar with other programming languages such as Go and scripting Experience building testing framework for micro-services on AWS Good level knowledge of relational databases such PostgreSQL or MySQL Familiar with non-relational databases technologies such as Dynamo DB and MongoDB Good knowledge of AWS tools and services such as Lambda, ECS, RDS, API Gateway, SNS/SQS/J;y m,!!Xi. . Cloud Front, or equivalent services in other Cloud Providers Good knowledge of Docker, and related containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and EKS. Performance testing using custom build tools/frameworks and modern tools such as K6 Good to have tools Good experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure As Code (IAC.) tools Familiar with building and maintaining pipelines using ADO or GitHub Actions.
