Rate: $50/hr. on C2C Role: Network engineer Location: Indianapolis, IN (Day 1 Onsite) Work Setting: This position will require hybrid on-site work in Indianapolis, Indiana, which will include at least 4 days of on-site work per week Job Description : Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) Proven experience in Network design, preferably datacenter environment Proven experience in hands-on installation of network devices and related cabling. Proficiencies in general IT knowledge related to networking. A continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be a self-starter, excellent organization, excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be proficient in using Visio for creating or editing network drawings. Other Qualifications: An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) is preferred Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, are a plus Experience with Cisco Nexus 9000, C9200, and 3850 models is strongly preferred. Essential Job Functions: Assist in the management and operation of infrastructure services, providing support to the team. Contribute to the implementation of infrastructure requests and projects. Work with client and other support teams to understand requirements and then develop network engineering documentation including configurations, instructions for deployment, and supporting network diagrams. Help maintain the performance and availability of infrastructure systems while troubleshooting issues. Collaborate with other teams to understand their infrastructure requirements and support design and/or implementation. Participate in the implementation of Network devices in the infrastructure environment, specifically, but not limited to, routers and switches. Assist in the development of infrastructure documentation, including drawings, inventories, and reports. Contribute to the optimization of resource allocation for infrastructure tasks and projects. Effective communication to provide support and collaborate with team members. Work in close partnership with Network team to ensure coverage of network deliverables and handling escalations.
