Required Skills and Experience: 10+ years of experience in IT, with a significant portion dedicated to data engineering roles, demonstrating a deep understanding of real-world data challenges, ideally within AWS. Strong programming skills in Python, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Solid understanding of Apache Spark and its core concepts (e.g., caching, joins), including practical experience implementing solutions for real-world scenarios, preferably on AWS. Extensive experience with data optimization techniques and strategies, particularly within the AWS cloud. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, including OOO-related problems, within an AWS environment. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. Hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR, and Kinesis. Experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers. Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience with other cloud-based data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse). Knowledge of other data processing technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Kafka). Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty).
