This role requires expertise in EDI mapping, middleware configuration, and troubleshooting Cleo-based workflows. The consultant will work closely with business teams, IT teams, and trading partners to ensure seamless B2B/EDI data exchange and optimize existing Cleo integrations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with SAP EDI processes and have a strong understanding of middleware integration concepts. This is a remote contract role open to candidates worldwide, with the possibility of long-term engagement Key Responsibilities Configure and support Cleo Integration Cloud (CIC) for EDI transactions. Perform EDI document mapping and transformation (X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, CSV). Ensure seamless integration between Cleo CIC and SAP, managing IDocs, RFCs, and BAPIs. Troubleshoot and resolve EDI transaction errors, communication issues, and integration failures. Work with trading partners and internal business teams to optimize Cleo EDI workflows. Manage AS2, SFTP, FTP, and other B2B communication protocols within Cleo. Ensure compliance with industry EDI standards and best practices. Assist in migrating or improving existing Cleo integrations to enhance system efficiency. Document Cleo EDI processes and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams. Key Qualifications & Experience 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cleo Integration Cloud (CIC) or Cleo Clarify. Strong knowledge of EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT, etc.) and B2B transactions. SAP EDI integration experience (IDocs, RFC, BAPIs) is highly preferred. Experience configuring Cleo EDI workflows and middleware integrations. Strong troubleshooting skills for EDI transaction errors and middleware issues. Familiarity with AS2, SFTP, FTP, API-based integrations, and MFT (Managed File Transfer). Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience working with global shipping, logistics, or supply chain companies. Familiarity with other integration tools like MuleSoft, Boomi, or IBM Sterling. Experience working with SAP functional teams and developers.
