This is an on-site, full-time position requiring exceptional expertise in network design, implementation, and security. The ideal candidate will possess a CCIE certification and demonstrate extensive experience with enterprise-level network architecture and operations. As a Senior Network Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, deploying, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available network infrastructures. Your responsibilities will also include troubleshooting complex issues, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring comprehensive documentation of all network-related processes and systems. Key Responsibilities: Design and Architecture: Develop high-level and detailed network designs that meet business requirements, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Implementation: Deploy and configure advanced networking solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other core components. Security: Implement and manage robust network security measures to protect against vulnerabilities, intrusions, and data breaches. Troubleshooting: Perform advanced troubleshooting to resolve critical and complex network issues, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance. Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors to evaluate, procure, and implement hardware and software solutions. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of network designs, configurations, and processes for operational continuity. Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior network engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth. Compliance: Ensure all network systems and operations comply with industry standards, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements. Required Skills and Certification: CCIE Certification (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) is mandatory. Deep knowledge of networking protocols, such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, and QoS. Expertise in configuring and managing enterprise-grade routers, switches, and firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto). Proficiency in network security practices, including VPNs, encryption, and firewalls. Strong understanding of SD-WAN and network virtualization technologies. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Outgoing personality and ability to work independently as a self-starter. Comfortable working on the command line and briefing executive stakeholders. Excellent proficiency in client communications and comfort in briefing executive stakeholders. Experience and Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 10+ years of progressive experience in network architecture, design, and implementation, including at least 5 years in a senior-level role. Proven track record of managing large-scale network projects and successfully delivering results. Additional Information: This position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle technical challenges. The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team. Travel maybe required (25%) in addition to being on-site in Augusta, ME fulltime. Thanks & Regards ..
