JOB ID: 332tdhca25002 Position: Craft CMS Web Developer Duration: 3+ Weeks Location: Austin, Texas Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Craft CMS Web Developer to complete a project to update one of the Texas HomeBuyer Program website (https://thetexashomebuyerprogram.com/) utilizing Craft CMS. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and maintaining websites using Craft CMS, along with strong proficiency in front-end and back-end web development. You will work closely with the internal Information Technology team to update Craft CMS, PHP, MySQL and any other components. As well as to review the current website to ensure it is a scalable, high-performance environment. TDHCA is wanting to bring in a contractor to perform all upgrade activities for the website. TDHCA has estimated that the assignment can be completed in 120 hours. The position will be remote, but it is highly preferred that the contractor be located in the central Texas area. A secondary goal of the contractor and this assignment will be to assess the current website and Craft CMS environment and to develop a comprehensive plan for migrating the website and all functionality from Craft CMS to Drupal CMS. Responsibilities: - Develop, maintain, update, and optimize websites using Craft CMS - Customize and extend Craft CMS functionality using Twig, PHP, and Craft Plugins - Ability to work with websites hosted in an AWS virtual environment. - Adding, creating, and performing client content changes in Craft, in collaboration with the TDHCA website administrator. - Develop responsive, user-friendly front-end interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - Implement and manage GraphQL, APIs, and headless Craft CMS setups when necessary - Collaborate with programmatic staff to gather requirements and translate into user friendly functional web pages - Optimize website performance, security, and scalability - Manage and maintain hosting environments and deployments (e.g., DigitalOcean, AWS, Vercel) - Stay updated with the latest Craft CMS features, web technologies, and best practices - Participating in project team meetings to report on the migration process, contribute responsive information during discussions, and assist in any technical decisions. - Reviewing web content, links, and limited design aspects, providing necessary updates for broken links and updated content and enhancements as necessary. - Performing all tasks while adhering to mobile and accessibility compliance standards. - Liaising between the website developers and project management staff for the required updates. - Offering website recommendations or improvements to the internal team.
