Our customer is looking for a full stack java developer. Someone who has spring boot on the back end and react on the front end. 2. This developer is also going to have extensive knowledge within SQL specifically PL/SQL as they use this heavily from a database perspective 3. Our customer is in the process of taking a lot of their applications to Microsoft so would prefer someone who has worked with Azure from a cloud perspective 1. Short Term (Optimize PL/SQL): Keep PL/SQL for simple, high-performance ETL tasks that are tightly integrated with Oracle. This is where we are excepting, we re using PL/SQL for even more complex logic. 2. Mid-Term (Introduce Java/.NET Microservices for ETL Orchestration): Extract complex transformation logic into a separate Java/.NET service. I think we need to have someone that can help with this aspect. So, someone that can read complex transformation logic embedded in PL/SQL and can properly strip it out into Java applications. 3. Long-Term (Cloud-Native ETL Migration): Use cloud-based ETL tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue) to handle data transformation at scale. And this is where we want the additional resources to help get us to. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in developing Java applications, migrating SQL-based business logic to Java-based applications, and integrating databases with Java applications. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and optimize Oracle SQL procedures, functions, and packages. Perform database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization. Create, develop, and maintain Java applications with a focus on performance and scalability. Migrate SQL-based business logic to Java-based applications. Develop Java-based applications integrating with Oracle databases. Read and analyze complex transformation logic embedded in PL/SQL code and refactor it into Java applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and efficient database and application solutions. Support application modernization efforts, ensuring best practices in software development. Conduct code reviews, implement coding standards, and contribute to process improvements. Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 6 to 8 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on SQL and Java. Expertise in Oracle SQL, including writing complex stored procedures, functions, and triggers. Experience in database optimization, indexing strategies, and performance tuning. Proficiency in Java development, including experience with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot. Hands-on experience developing Java applications and migrating SQL code to Java-based applications. Strong ability to analyze and strip out complex transformation logic from PL/SQL into Java applications. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and database design principles. Experience working with version control systems like Git. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Management) or healthcare industry.
