Certified SQL DBA Location (Hybrid/ Onsite/ Remote): Madison, WI (primarily remote, must be a WI resident or willing to relocate to WI prior to the start of the role at their own expense from nearby location) Visa: No H1B and CPT Duration: 3-6+ months Interview Mode: Microsoft Teams video required JD Here: Detailed Job Description: The DHS Database Administrator's primary responsibility will be to work with application developers to integrate databases with applications. Collaborate with developers and project team members, analyze requirements, model data structures, and create efficient database schemas. Manage SQL database backups, recovery procedures, and liaise with the Division of Enterprise Technology (DET) in the validation of server patching, software upgrades, user access controls, and the creation of new servers or databases in the Enterprise SQL or Oracle environment. Ensure changes are planned and follow proper DHS change management policies and that database structures are maintained in accordance with the Department of Health Services security policies, compliance regulations, and business requirements. Strong communication with different stakeholders both verbally and written is necessary for success in this position. Interaction with cross-functional teams, which may include people from other State Departments with various levels of Database and application development knowledge and experience, Technical Administrators, business professionals from program areas, infrastructure, application development, or 3rd party Vendors.
