[email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Title: Customer/ 1 SME Location: Remote, USA Mode of Hire: Contract Subject Matter Expert (SME) Billing, Customer/1 Billing, Finance & SO Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Billing, Customer/1 Billing, Finance, and Service Order (SO) to join our team. The SME will be responsible for providing domain expertise, strategic guidance, and hands-on support in the areas of billing operations, financial processes, and Customer/1 billing systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in utility or telecom billing systems, financial workflows, and service order management. Key Responsibilities: Billing & Customer/1 Billing: Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of billing systems, with a focus on Customer/1 Billing. Define billing rules, processes, and workflows to enhance operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with regulatory and financial standards within the billing system. Troubleshoot and resolve billing-related issues, working closely with cross-functional teams. Provide guidance on rate structures, invoicing, and revenue assurance. Collaborate with IT teams to upgrade and maintain billing systems. Finance: Act as a finance SME, ensuring billing aligns with financial reporting and compliance. Provide expertise in accounts receivable, revenue recognition, and financial reconciliations. Work closely with accounting teams to streamline financial transactions related to billing. Analyze and report financial performance metrics for billing operations. Ensure alignment between financial systems and billing platforms. Service Order (SO) Management: Oversee end-to-end service order lifecycle from initiation to fulfillment. Identify areas for improvement in service order processing and workflow automation. Support integration between SO processes and billing systems for accurate invoicing. Ensure SO data accuracy and consistency across all business units. Required Skills & Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in billing, finance, and service order management within utilities, telecom, or related industries. In-depth knowledge of Customer/1 Billing systems and related applications. Strong expertise in financial transactions, accounting principles, and compliance. Experience in business process optimization and system integration. Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
