The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud infrastructure, architecture design, and cloud-native application development, and will be responsible for overseeing the architecture of large-scale, complex AWS environments.Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, architecture, and deployment of cloud-based platforms using AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, etc.). Collaborate with stakeholders (product teams, developers, security, and operations) to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient, and cost-effective AWS solutions. Ensure AWS architecture adheres to industry best practices and AWS Well-Architected Framework, focusing on scalability, security, and high availability. Design cloud-native applications and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams on AWS best practices, cloud design patterns, and tools. Oversee the implementation of AWS services to optimize cost management, security, and automation. Architect multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud solutions as required by project demands. Collaborate with DevOps and automation teams to build CI/CD pipelines and ensure automation and repeatability in deployments. Conduct risk assessments and develop disaster recovery and backup strategies for AWS-based applications. Work with the security team to define security architecture and ensure compliance with organizational security policies. Keep up-to-date with the latest AWS offerings, services, and industry trends and apply them as needed to enhance platform performance and capabilities.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with at least 5+ years focused on AWS platforms. Strong experience in designing and implementing large-scale, multi-region, high-availability architectures on AWS. Expertise in AWS core services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, etc.) and advanced services (Elastic Kubernetes Service, CloudWatch, etc.). Proficiency in cloud design patterns and architecture best practices (e.g., microservices, serverless, containerization). Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Terraform). Experience in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines and automation with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline. Strong knowledge of AWS security best practices and compliance (e.g., IAM, KMS, security groups, encryption). Solid understanding of networking, including VPC, subnets, and VPN connections within AWS. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a cloud-native environment.
