The successful candidate will provide expert guidance on infrastructure design, implement robust security measures, and work with various business units to plan, adopt, and implement API endpoints. This role requires expertise in Apigee X, API security, CI/CD pipelines, and serverless solutions in GCP.Key Responsibilities: Apigee X Deployment & Infrastructure Design: Lead the deployment of Apigee X in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), providing expert guidance on infrastructure design to ensure scalable, secure environments. Work closely with teams to remediate API and cloud findings, ensuring smooth deployment processes. API Security & Authentication: Secure APIs by implementing and managing a range of authentication and authorization mechanisms to protect sensitive data and systems. Enhance API security by identifying and mitigating common vulnerabilities and adhering to security best practices. CI/CD Automation: Accelerate API delivery through the development of CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments, and improving release frequency to optimize API lifecycle management. Custom Apigee X Shared Flows: Develop custom Apigee X Shared Flows using advanced JavaScript skills, ensuring that API management processes are tailored to business requirements. Collaboration with Business Units: Collaborate with various business units to plan, adopt, and implement new versions of API endpoints. Work with stakeholders to align API design and deployment with organizational objectives and security needs. GCP Serverless and Storage Services: Utilize practical technical knowledge of GCP serverless and storage services to optimize API management and infrastructure. Task Progress & Roadmap Management: Participate in regular cadence meetings to ensure smooth task transitions, track progress, and manage the roadmap of deployments and enhancements.Essential Skills & Competencies: Expertise in Apigee X: Proven experience in Apigee X deployments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), providing guidance on best practices for infrastructure design and security. API Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of API authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, etc.), with the ability to secure and protect sensitive API data. Advanced JavaScript Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript for developing custom Apigee X Shared Flows and enhancing API functionality. CI/CD Expertise: Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments, enhance release frequency, and improve overall API delivery speed. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to collaborate with various business units to plan, adopt, and implement new versions of API endpoints. GCP Technical Knowledge: Strong hands-on knowledge of GCP serverless services and storage solutions, with the ability to leverage these technologies for optimized API management.Desirable Skills: Familiarity with Apigee X best practices for API management in a cloud-native environment. Experience remediating API and cloud findings, ensuring compliance and security. Familiarity with GCP monitoring tools and services for performance tracking.
