Perform static and dynatmic application security testing. Simulate cyberattacks: Use hacking tools and techniques to perform attacks on a companys systems, networks, or applications Identify vulnerabilities: Find gaps in security that hackers could exploit Document actions: Create a report on what you did and how successfully you breached security protocols Advise on security improvements: Suggest ways to fix or lower security risks to systems Train users: Provide training to users to minimize future security risks Assess physical security: Evaluate the security of network hardware devices and server systems physically Ability to fulfill all job responsibilities of peneration tester Ability to analyze malware/exploits through forensics, observation of network traffic and using other tools and resources to determine if PG&E systems are vulnerable Research and write in-depth reports and advisories on security risks to employees and operations Expert in network security, vulnerability assessment, web application security, operating system knowledge, scripting, report writing, communication, social engineering, and a deep understanding of different network components and hacking techniques to identify and exploit vulnerabilities within systems and applications effectively; proficient in identifying potential security weaknesses and communicating their findings clearly to clients.
