This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing mission-critical mainframe applications. Responsibilities: IMS Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain IMS database applications. Write and debug IMS Data Language (DL/I) code. Develop and maintain IMS Message Processing Programs (MPPs). Mainframe Application Development: Develop and maintain COBOL programs for mainframe systems. Write and debug JCL (Job Control Language) scripts. Utilize TSO/ISPF for development and maintenance tasks. Database Management: Work with DB2 databases in a mainframe environment. Write and optimize SQL queries. Perform database maintenance and troubleshooting. System Analysis and Design: Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Design and document system architectures. Participate in code reviews and testing. Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve complex mainframe application issues. Provide on-call support as needed.
