Position: Data and Analytics Engineer (Platform Engineering) Location: Richmond, VA or Dallas, TX Duration: 12+ Months Contract Interview : Virtual Visa: H1B H4 & USC Candidates must have an Updated LinkedIn profile as per the resume with a picture Job Description: Data and Analytics Engineering - Platform team is critical to making our organization's data strategy successful. You will play a key role in building and managing modern, adaptive, data-driven, and secure platforms and processes to enable Data & Analytics Engineering. You should have strong fundamentals of Database Administration, Data/Software Engineering, DevOps, and hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services. You will work on cross-functional initiatives and projects. Roles and Responsibilities: Design and build Microsoft SQL Server in data centres and Azure, including build and configuration automation, security, high availability, disaster recovery, monitoring, and maintenance Design and implement intelligent, predictable, reliable, scalable, cost-efficient, and easy-to-use platforms and frameworks for Data Science Machine Learning (DSML), Enterprise Data Lake/Warehouse (EDL/EDW), Master Data Management (MDM) functions Design, implement, maintain cloud platform infrastructure Evaluate and automate the scaling and capacity requirements within Azure environment Implement Azure cloud capabilities including but not limited to storage, key vaults, virtual networking, virtual machines, and automated deployments Implement, setup, configure, monitor, and maintain cloud based Data & Analytics platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake. Troubleshoot and resolve environment performance issues, connectivity issues, security issues Make recommendations and execute cost saving strategies for Cloud services Self-directed and able to balance the priorities of multiple teams, systems, and products with a leadership mindset Work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals Streamline development and operation processes via continuous integration, deployment, automated testing while leveraging SRE principles Drive efficient resolution for system outages as well as performance and functional shortcomings. Engage in critical support situations and effectively, efficiently, and quickly drive successful resolution Design and implement solutions that leverage cloud services such as serverless computing, containers, and data lakes. Minimum Qualifications: 7+ years with Microsoft SQL Server (2016-2022) in an enterprise-level environment, including setup, security, monitoring, maintenance, and performance tuning 5+ years Azure SQL, SQL Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines 5+ years Cloud Platform Engineering experience in an enterprise-level environment Advanced proficiency with Python, SQL, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Bicep/Terraform, Power is required.
