Key Responsibilities: Web Application Development: Contribute to the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications with a focus on user experience. Front-End Coding: Develop and review JavaScript, CSS, and HTML code to ensure the quality and functionality of our applications. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to deliver cohesive, end-to-end user experiences. API Interaction: Help define and integrate with RESTful APIs to ensure seamless interaction across different layers of the application. Issue Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve customer-reported issues in applications while providing effective support. Testing & Quality Assurance: Write unit tests and perform quality assurance testing to maintain high software standards. Additional Tasks: Assist with other responsibilities as needed to support the teams goals. Minimum Qualifications: Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret-level security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). Current security clearance is also acceptable. Experience: At least 5 years of experience in frontend software development or engineering with a B.S. degree in Computer Science or a related field. Alternatively, 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters degree in a related field, or a High School Diploma with 9 years of relevant experience. Technical Expertise: Proficient in JavaScript and experienced with at least one web application framework (e.g., Vue, React, Angular, or similar). Familiarity with Git or other version control systems. Comfortable working in a *nix command-line environment. Self-Motivation: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively. Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze issues, troubleshoot effectively, and synthesize information to develop solutions. Preferred Qualifications: Big Data Platform (BDP) Experience: Prior experience working with Big Data technologies is a plus. Certifications: DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications may be required for this position, as directed by the customer. Work Environment: This position operates in a hybrid work environment, with the expectation of spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our office in Columbia, MD.
