Job Title: Middleware Administrator / IBM Websphere Location: [Lynchburg ,VA] Employment Type: [Contract H1b]Job Description: As a Middleware Administrator, you will play a critical role in managing, maintaining, and optimizing the middleware infrastructure of our organization. You will work closely with system administrators, developers, and IT teams to ensure seamless communication between backend systems and applications, while troubleshooting and resolving issues related to middleware technologies.Responsibilities: Middleware Administration: Install, configure, and maintain middleware platforms such as WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, or similar technologies. Manage and monitor middleware performance to ensure high availability and reliability of enterprise applications. Implement and maintain middleware services for applications and web servers to ensure smooth integration between front-end and back-end systems. Apply patches, upgrades, and security fixes to middleware platforms and services. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical production issues related to middleware services. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to middleware components, including performance bottlenecks, server crashes, and integration failures. Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve application-level middleware issues. Performance Tuning and Optimization: Continuously monitor middleware performance and fine-tune configurations to optimize system performance. Analyze logs, metrics, and other diagnostic data to proactively identify potential issues and mitigate risks. Scale middleware environments based on usage patterns and performance needs. Security and Compliance: Ensure security best practices are followed while configuring and maintaining middleware systems. Apply security patches and updates to protect middleware platforms against vulnerabilities.
