Dont want someone who has concerns about safety-its very safe and not dangerous, but is igh voltage.-3Phase vfd anywhere from 400 volt to 690 volts . Power rating is up to 630 Kilowatt which is 850 horsepower. Can go from 100-850 horsepower. Big industrial high voltage units. Not a desk job, up and in the lab. Taking units out to external lab. Physical work. Not just sitting at desk. Up and moving with project team. Hands on. 20% travel to external facilities Associates is OK bachelors preferred 5+ years -no max years but MUST be ok being hands. Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced EMC Engineer to conduct EMC testing for Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). The design phase is complete, so the primary focus will be on testing. While design experience is a plus for providing insights if tests fail, it is not a requirement. The ideal candidate will be an expert in EMC testing. Key Responsibilities: Perform EMC testing for VFDs in the Danfoss Lab. Occasionally travel to labs in Milwaukee and the UL lab in Northbrook, accompanied by a Power Engineer. Provide insights and potential solutions if tests fail, leveraging design experience if applicable. Ensure all testing is completed by the end of the year. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in EMC testing. Expertise in EMC testing procedures and standards. Ability to provide insights into test failures and potential design improvements. Willingness to travel occasionally for testing purposes. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
