[email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Description - Job Title: Slack Engineer Location: Pleasanton, CA Hybrid Locals Duration: 12+ Months Visa: USC/GC Position Description As a Mid-Level Engineer Collaboration/Slack & Workspace Technology, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise collaboration platforms. You will work cross-functionally to ensure seamless user experiences while maintaining high standards for security, reliability, and scalability. This position is perfect for a candidate with technical expertise in both front-end UIs and back-end systems who is eager to drive improvements in collaboration technology. Key Responsibilities Contribute to collaboration platform projects, advocating for best practices in the industry. Help manage existing collaboration platforms and services. Work closely with network and telecom teams to optimize audio and video performance. Assist in the continuous improvement of collaboration services and user experience. Help manage platform upgrades and feature expansions for collaboration tools. Contribute to the design and implementation of new collaboration solutions. Support migration projects transitioning from legacy to modern platforms. Drive execution on key collaboration tools such as Webex, Zoom, Slack, and Microsoft Teams. Participate in evaluations for emerging collaboration technologies. Help ensure operations stability, focusing on uptime and user experience. Contribute to the enterprise collaboration roadmap, aligning with future business needs. Design, develop, and maintain scalable systems to support collaboration tools. Mentor junior engineers and share best practices. Participate in business initiatives and Agile meetings to align technology with business goals. Troubleshoot and resolve collaboration issues, including log analysis and network packet captures. Required Qualifications & Skills Proven extensive experience involving projects collaboration platform integrations, specifically Slack native/API integrations. Hands-on experience with installation, configuration, and management of audio and video infrastructure. Experience troubleshooting call flows, including log collection, packet capture, and root-cause analysis. Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure AD, APIs, ServiceNow, and automation tools. Strong vendor management experience, especially with Slack integrations. Experience with Google Workspace. Good understanding of security and compliance requirements for collaboration platforms, including certificate management. Familiarity with virtual and cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP, Azure). Understanding of networking protocols and telecom applications. Experience in system alerting and troubleshooting for enhanced availability and stability. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience Requirements 3+ years of experience with collaboration platforms such as Slack, Zoom, Webex, and Microsoft Teams. 2+ years of experience working with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.). 1+ years of experience with open-source frameworks. 1+ years of experience with scripting, API development, and ServiceNow integration. Education Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
