Job Title: Scrum Master Location: Vienna, Virginia / Pensacola, FL / San Deigo, CA Job Overview The Scrum Master-I work closely with the Product Owner to prioritize and lead delivery of the initiatives capabilities by removing impediments, facilitating team meetings and events, and fostering an environment for high performance. The Scrum Master assures that the continuous workflow of their team. They advocate, adopt and coach their team on lean, agile and scrum practices. Participate on projects by applying the Agile mythology with minimal complexity, under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment on smaller scaled projects. Basic understanding of business, products, and operating environment; Meet general problem-solving needs and assists project teams with moderate complexities and ambiguities. Responsibilities: Support Agile development methodologies based on iterative development that support the team in Agile/ Scrum methodologies, eliminate impediments, and lead the team in efforts for relentless improvement and heightened efficiency Attest technology and service delivery roadmap support the solution strategy and are sustainable to meet the needs of the various solutions being delivered on that product Work with the teams to progress team goals, utilizing the current Program Increment (PI) Objectives as Iteration Goals Continuously help work through goals, scope, and product backlog items are understood and can be fulfilled by team members Cooperate with Product Owner, customers, and developers to identify and clarify scope of problems/issues in terms of business/systems requirements and processes Support the teams efforts to continuously improve communications and relationships with other delivery teams; represent the team in the Scrum of Scrums (SoS), helping the team remain aware of engagement opportunities and program effectiveness Engage in challenging the old norms of development to improve performance in the areas of quality, predictability, flow, and velocity Support software development teams in applying the Scrum framework Perform other duties as assigned Top 4 skills: Scrum Master Experience in Software Development industry (1 -2 years min) Effective Communication Adaptability Organization Qualifications and Education Requirements: At least 3 years of project management experience leading small-scale projects/activities CSM and/or PMI-ACP certification Experience leading agile development teams and facilitating team meetings in Agile environment Applies a Lean-Agile mindset; helps the team embrace Agile core values and adopt and apply agile principles Working knowledge of development or operations framework methodologies, including Agile principles Strong verbal and visual presentation software skills with the ability to disseminate relevant information Proficient in research, analytical, and problem-solving skills Effective skill in building strategic and executionfocused plans and alliances with partner leadership Desired Qualifications and Education Requirements: Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field In-depth knowledge and experience in Banking/Finance/Investments, familiar with terminology, concepts and business processes and systems Understanding of the Agile Manifesto Knowledge and experience using agile Project Management Tools.
