Optimize and refactor Ab Initio transformations into Spark-based workflows. Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business teams to ensure a seamless migration process. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in migrated Spark workflows to match the functionality of Ab Initio jobs. Document migration strategies, data mappings, and best practices. Provide knowledge transfer and training to internal teams on Spark-based ETL development. Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of experience with Ab Initio development, including GDE, EME, ECE,and Conduct>It. 3+ years of experience with Apache Spark (PySpark, Scala, or Java) for data processing. Hands-on experience with SQL, Hive, and other Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Kafka, etc.). Strong understanding of ETL principles, data transformation, and performance optimization. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their big data ecosystems is a plus. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with migration projects from Ab Initio to Spark or other modern data platforms. Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD for data pipelines.
