The primary technologies that a BI Developer will operate with include SQL Server, and Power BI. The BI Developer will work in a team with other BI, ETL, and Report Developers. Responsibilities of the Business Intelligence Developer Job in Rochester, NY: Interpret business requirements into technical code Design, develop and deploy BI solutions and reporting tools Develop structured and highly formatted reports using Power BI Desktop and Report Builder for paginated reports Collaborate with other developers, business analysts, and architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain BI solutions built on Microsoft technologies. Develop and update technical documentation Evaluate and improve existing BI systems Review developer code for adherence to best practices Maintain and support data analytics platforms Required Skills and Experience of the Business Intelligence Developer Job in Rochester, NY: Proficiency with Analysis Services Tabular Models design and development Proficiency with DAX programming language for the creation of measures, calculated columns, and tables in tabular models.
