incident and Production Support Specialist Location: Plano, TX OR Reston, VA Role Type: Hybrid. Duration: One-year contract Key Responsibilities: Provide support for complex or specialized application or infrastructure tasks, incidents, changes, and requests. Knowledge of: Unix/Linux Cloud services (Amazon) Proficiency in running incident calls with up to 25 people. Managing incident data using tools like SharePoint and Confluence. Experience in managing helpline numbers. Experience troubleshooting and managing triage calls with cross-functional teams. Use of Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook). Perform and manage production support tasks requiring IT expertise and knowledge of business processes. Manage and resolve incidents utilizing knowledge articles and prior experience. Execute changes based on instructions or knowledge base. Monitor and execute production processing as per requests or runbooks. Perform proactive monitoring of systems and applications. Lead and manage triage efforts for incidents with potential business impact. Communicate, coordinate, and work with other groups to ensure production environment availability. Manage troubleshooting calls with cross-functional teams. Use tools, dashboards, and command-line for troubleshooting. Engage and escalate as necessary to expedite recovery and minimize impact. Top 3 Must-Have Skills: Use of tools such as xMatters, Everbridge, and direct phone calls as needed. Proficiency in Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook). On-call 24x7 primary support. Education/Experience: 1-3 years of IT and Cloud support experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent training required. Position 2 Cloud Operations and Incident Management Lead Location: Plano, TX OR Reston, VA Role Type: Hybrid. Duration: One-year contract Key Responsibilities: Provide support for complex or specialized application or infrastructure tasks, incidents, changes, and requests. Coordinate and manage changes to the production environment while ensuring safety and soundness. Lead operational implementation and maintenance of complex IT infrastructure and application projects. Troubleshoot and resolve advanced and complex system, service, and application issues. Provide guidance and training to junior team members. Identify and drive automation initiatives. Propose and implement system performance enhancements. Resolve monitoring and alerting issues, including threshold updates and new monitors. Handle compliance activities, including access and password management. Handle escalated incidents and lead critical incident response efforts and root cause analysis. Lead critical application releases and implementations. Update configurations, including testing and peer reviewing. Create/modify code, scripts, and monitors to resolve or prevent incidents. Collaborate with teams to enhance monitoring tools and processes. Provide reporting and analysis on business-impacting incident trends. Skills Required: Good communication skills (oral and written). Attention to detail and multitasking ability. Proven experience with: Unix/Linux AWS cloud platforms (Certification required) Advanced scripting and automation skills Monitoring tools like Extrahop, SolarWinds, and Catchpoint Analyzing dashboards and reporting tools to identify trends and patterns Hands-on experience with Splunk and other transaction-level monitoring tools. Top Must-Have Skills: ITIL Certification is required. Proficiency in Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook). Education/Experience: 5-10 years of cloud operations and engineering experience. Bachelor's degree. Position 3 Senior Incident and Operations Manager Location: Plano, TX OR Reston, VA Role Type: Hybrid. Duration: One-year contract Key Responsibilities: Provide support for complex or specialized application or infrastructure tasks, incidents, changes, and requests. Lead critical incident response efforts and root cause analysis. Lead critical application releases and implementations. Interface and maintain partnerships with vendors and service providers. Represent the team in discussions with business, development, and management. Act as a subject matter expert for services/applications/infrastructure. Create dashboards, automation scripts, and tools to increase observability and reduce manual work. Top Must-Have Skills: ITIL Certification is required.
