Job Title: QA Lead Location: Middletown Township, NJ or Dallas, TX Job Summary: The ETL QA Lead is responsible for leading the quality assurance efforts for ETL processes, ensuring data integrity, and overseeing the testing of data transformations and migrations. This role involves collaborating with development teams, managing QA resources, and implementing best practices for ETL testing. Key Responsibilities: Lead QA Efforts: Oversee the QA process for ETL projects, including planning, execution, and reporting. Test Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for ETL processes. Data Validation: Ensure data accuracy and integrity through rigorous testing and validation. Automation: Implement and manage automated testing frameworks for ETL processes. Collaboration: Work closely with development, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality. Issue Management: Identify, document, and track defects and issues, ensuring timely resolution. Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA team members. Reporting: Generate and present QA metrics and reports to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Lead the QA Team: Supervise and mentor a team of QA engineers and testers, ensuring they are following best practices and maintaining productivity. Develop Test Plans: Design and create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and technical specifications. Test Execution: Oversee the execution of functional, regression, performance, and integration testing. Identify and document defects, and follow through to resolution. Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve QA processes, techniques, and tools to enhance testing effectiveness and efficiency. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality is integrated into every phase of the product development lifecycle. Automation Testing: Lead or contribute to the automation testing efforts, ensuring automated test scripts are maintained and executed regularly. Reporting: Provide clear, concise, and timely reports on test progress, defects, and overall software quality to project stakeholders and management. Risk Management: Identify and manage potential risks related to product quality and suggest mitigation strategies. Mentorship: Guide junior QA team members in best practices for testing and software quality. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in QA, with a focus on ETL processes. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend), and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit). Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent are a plus. Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Desired Skills: Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools. Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
