Job Description - Job Title: Genetec/AXIS Video Management System Administrator Location: Romulus, MI Type: Ongoing Contract Opportunity Need Candidates LinkedIn Position Overview: The Technology Services department at Wayne County Airport Authority is responsible for managing the technology needs of both Detroit Metro (DTW) and Willow Run (YIP) airports. We are seeking a qualified onsite technical professional to assist with the implementation and ongoing administration of our Security Surveillance Platform, which includes the Genetec Video Management System, AXIS Camera Solution, and related infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Configure, update, maintain, and troubleshoot the Genetec VMS System. Configure, update, maintain, and troubleshoot the AXIS camera solution. Provide basic maintenance and troubleshooting for VMS infrastructure components. Offer technical assistance and expertise for security surveillance projects. Conduct VMS system training for various WCAA departments and airport entities. Write and maintain technical documentation. Perform related duties as directed. Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, OR High School Diploma with a minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience working with the technologies, services, or processes outlined in the Minimum Qualifications. Minimum Qualifications: 3 years of experience administering Genetec SecurityCenter Enterprise systems. 3 years of experience administering AXIS surveillance cameras. 2 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting underlying infrastructure components. Preferred Qualifications: Intermediate experience with core enterprise infrastructure components: Network: Cisco switches, Dell switches Storage: Dell NAS storage systems Servers: Dell PowerEdge Server, Windows Server 2019/2022 OS, VMware Database: Microsoft SQL Intermediate experience providing technical training to various skill levels. Intermediate experience creating and maintaining technical documentation. Intermediate experience collaborating with engineers and project managers. Experience integrating various external security systems. Knowledge of analytics concepts and best practices. Knowledge of video encryption protocols. Knowledge of scripting methods (Python, Power, etc.). Knowledge of enterprise access, authentication, and federation methods. Knowledge of common enterprise networking protocols and topologies. Experience using drawing tools (AutoCAD, etc.). Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, etc.). Certifications (one or more): Genetec Security Center 5.x Enterprise AXIS Certified Professional Network+ Cisco CCNA Additional and Future Technologies (Nice to Have): Knowledge of lifecycle management processes and best practices. Knowledge of business continuity/disaster recovery processes and best practices. Knowledge of data center standards, best practices, and solutions. Knowledge of cybersecurity standards, best practices, and solutions.
