Client will provide travel expenses. We are seeking a Senior LLM Engineer with deep expertise in natural language processing and large language models (LLMs). This role targets critical NLP-related tasks, including OCR improvements, text extraction, and advanced plan annotation workflows. The ideal candidate will design, fine-tune, and deploy large-scale transformer models to meet project requirements for document parsing, plan text recognition, and document visual question answering , we need candidates who demonstrate complex research expertise, particularly in custom LLM training, novel architectures, and advanced evaluation metrics beyond accuracy. Key Qualifications We Need to Prioritize: -- Extensive experience in state-of-the-art LLMs applied to unique or novel use cases -- Strong understanding of evaluation metrics (again, in novel use cases) -- Publications in top NLP/ML conferences (NeurIPS, ACL, ICML, etc.), equivalent independent research, or a Master's/PhD thesis with relevant contributions (I'm not obsessed with top conference publications - other publication venues will suffice if they are relevant) -- GitHub with meaningful contributions - not just standard NLP models but novel/creative/substantial work on LLM architectures, multi-modal models, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) -- The education requirement should be updated - a Masters (if not a PhD) in Computer Science, or a highly related field is much more appropriate for this role.
