Kindly submit DL, VISA AND LINKEDIN. We have a new opportunity for a C Developer consultant who has experience with Linux. This a hybrid role and the resource will be required to sit onsite in Sartell, MN 2-3 days per week. Project Scope: We are seeking a C Developer for an 8 month contract. This role involves extensive development and maintenance work on a project utilizing C and Linux, in an environment that requires high proficiency in both. The database used is Informix, and while its use is basic, strong skills in adaptable SQL queries are required. The project is currently being developed on virtual Linux machines, and the developer will be expected to work within this environment to complete the assignment. Key Responsibilities: Software Development: Work on a major C development project within a Linux environment. All development will be conducted on a Linux machine to ensure compatibility with the operating system, libraries, and dependencies. Technical Specifications & Documentation: Contribute to the recovery of knowledge regarding the tool on the module in C and assist in writing technical specifications and necessary changes following modifications. Maintenance & Development: Work on maintaining and evolving the project, including making the module multi-tenant, particularly for laboratories with different identifiers. SQL Queries: Write and optimize SQL queries for Informix, ensuring adaptability and efficiency in querying databases. Collaboration: Work alongside a US-based team, collaborating to maintain progress and share knowledge across team members. Process Documentation: Ensure thorough documentation of processes, changes, and development milestones. Adaptability: Due to the teams location in Minnesota, strong communication skills and flexibility to work within the teams time zone are crucial. Required Skills: C Programming: Extensive experience in C development with current, hands-on expertise. Linux: Strong proficiency in Linux development, including familiarity with virtual machines and managing software dependencies in a Linux environment. Informix Database: Experience in working with Informix databases, particularly with writing and optimizing SQL queries. SQL Queries: Solid understanding and experience in crafting adaptable and efficient SQL queries. Communication: Proficient in English (written and spoken) with excellent communication skills for collaboration and documentation.
