They work closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and solution architects to define architecture, integrations, and best practices. Key Responsibilities: Define the overall architecture and technical roadmap for BigCommerce implementations. Design, develop, and implement scalable eCommerce solutions on BigCommerce, including headless commerce architectures. Lead technical discussions and provide architectural guidance to development teams. Integrate BigCommerce with third-party services, ERP, CRM, PIM, OMS, and payment gateways. Optimize site performance, security, and scalability. Define coding standards, best practices, and reusable components. Work closely with UI/UX teams to ensure seamless customer experiences. Conduct code reviews and troubleshoot performance and security issues. Stay up to date with BigCommerce releases, APIs, and industry trends. Provide leadership in decision-making regarding technology choices, development approaches, and deployment strategies. Requirements: 8+ years of experience in eCommerce development, with at least 3+ years on BigCommerce. Strong experience in BigCommerce Stencil theme development, APIs, and headless commerce. Expertise in JavaScript, Node.js, React.js, or Vue.js for frontend development. Experience integrating BigCommerce with third-party applications using RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and Webhooks. Deep understanding of performance optimization, caching strategies, and security best practices. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and deployment strategies. Strong knowledge of eCommerce workflows, product catalogs, checkout processes, and payment processing. Experience with composable commerce, MACH (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless) architecture is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex projects. Excellent communication skills and experience working in agile teams.
