The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of critical production systems in a hybrid environment. This role involves AWS cloud services, job scheduling, managed file transfers, and API gateway support. Candidates must be local to Reston, VA, as occasional office presence is required, though the role primarily operates remotely. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: Provide 24x7 production support with an on-call primary rotation to ensure uptime and system reliability. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and application issues across L1, L2, and L3 support levels. Support AWS cloud infrastructure including EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS Aurora, S3, SQS/SNS, VPC, API Gateway, and Secrets Manager. Utilize AWS Console and CLI for operational tasks, troubleshooting, and automation. Manage and schedule jobs using Autosys or similar job schedulers. Handle Managed File Transfer (SFTP, Connect Direct) for secure data exchange between systems. Perform incident management, including root cause analysis and proactive issue resolution. Work closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to resolve production issues and improve system performance. Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, troubleshooting steps, and solutions. ________________________________________ Required Qualifications: 10+ years of production support experience in a hybrid infrastructure environment. Expertise in AWS services (EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS Aurora, SQS/SNS, VPC, Secrets Manager, API Gateway). Hands-on experience with job schedulers like Autosys. Strong understanding of incident management and infrastructure troubleshooting. Experience with Managed File Transfer (SFTP, Connect Direct). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications: AWS Solution Architect certification or equivalent experience. Experience in Springboard or similar frameworks. Background in scripting or automation using Python, Bash, or Power. Previous experience working in a hybrid or cloud-based production environment. ________________________________________ Work Environment & Location: This is a hybrid role based in Reston, VA. Candidates must be local and able to attend in-office meetings when required. While the role is primarily remote, on-site presence may be required occasionally.
