The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in wireless network engineering, particularly with Cisco technologies. Cisco Wireless Technologies: Deep understanding of Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs), Access Points (APs), and associated technologies (e.g., RF management, mobility, security). Wireless Protocols: Proficiency in IEEE 802.11 standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax), Wi-Fi Alliance certifications (e.g., Wi-Fi CERTIFIED), and their applications. Network Design and Implementation: Ability to design, plan, and implement complex wireless networks, including site surveys, RF planning, and AP placement. Troubleshooting and Optimization: Expertise in diagnosing and resolving wireless network issues, optimizing performance (e.g., RF interference, channel utilization, roaming), and ensuring high availability. Security: Knowledge of wireless security best practices, including WPA/WPA2(3) encryption, and guest access. Automation and Orchestration: Familiarity with network automation tools and orchestration platforms (e.g., Cisco DNA Center) for efficient network management Documentation: Ability to create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
