Job Description: Agile Champion Location: New York City, NY (Day 1 Onsite Only Local Candidates Considered) Employment Type: Long-Term Contract About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Agile Champion to lead and drive Agile transformation initiatives for a high-profile client engagement. This role requires a passionate advocate of Agile methodologies to coach teams, optimize processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with Agile principles and deliver business value. Key Responsibilities: Act as a primary advocate and coach for Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) across teams. Lead Agile transformation efforts, ensuring adoption of best practices and frameworks. Facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprints, retrospectives, planning sessions) and remove impediments. Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders to refine backlogs and prioritize deliverables. Mentor teams on Agile mindset, self-organization, and iterative delivery. Measure and report on Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, team health) to track progress. Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and collaboration. Promote a culture of innovation, transparency, and adaptability. Must-Have Qualifications: 5+ years as an Agile Coach/Champion in enterprise environments. Proven track record of leading Agile transformations (Scrum, SAFe, Lean). Strong expertise in coaching teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders. Excellent communication and facilitation skills. Certifications: CSM, CSPO, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent. Experience working in complex, multi-team environments. Local to NYC and available to work onsite from Day 1. Nice-to-Have Skills: Prior experience in financial services or with clients like American Express. Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, or VersionOne. Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Advanced certifications (CSP, ICP-ACC, SPC).
