Role- Sr. Site Reliability Engineer Location- 1030 Delta Boulevard Atlanta, GA 30354 (hybrid) Duration- 12+ Contract with possible extension/conversion Visa- No H1B, OPT, CPT Candidate Needs to Have: Expertise in AWS Cloud Platforms with hands-on experience in managing cloud-based applications. Strong proficiency in DevOps and SRE practices, including CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure as code (IaC). Hands-on experience with OpenShift, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, and Python/ scripting. Strong understanding of Linux OS, Virtualization, Networking, Load Balancers, and API management. Experience in monitoring tools, performance analysis, and troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues. Hands-on experience with software release management, security best practices, and automation tools. Experience in AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, and KMS. Deep understanding of SLI/SLO implementation and performance benchmarking. Preferred Skills & Qualifications: Strong experience in automating and operationalizing Dev/QA environments using tools like GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, and Nexus. Knowledge of incident management, disaster recovery, and system failover strategies. Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or DevOps (preferred but not required). Key Responsibilities: Cloud & Infrastructure Management Manage and optimize data streaming and API components in OpenShift (On-Premise) and AWS environments. Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment, including APIs and data processing jobs. Implement elastic infrastructure solutions to handle unpredictable bursts of user traffic efficiently. Develop and maintain backup strategies for critical data and application components to support disaster recovery. Performance Optimization & Monitoring Proactively review and optimize application APIs and processes to improve response times and overall system performance. Develop tools and scripts for automated monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and uptime. Act as the escalation point for troubleshooting degraded performance and hard-to-define issues. Define and implement SLI/SLOs to measure service reliability and maintain performance benchmarks. Automation & Security Automate various testing types, including data quality checks, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes. Ensure data security and access control using AWS security tools like HSM, IAM, and Key Management Services (KMS). Collaborate with enterprise security teams to address security vulnerabilities and implement best practices in data encryption, key management, and security audits. Develop solutions to regularly scan, identify, and resolve security vulnerabilities. Cost Optimization & Governance Monitor AWS billing, generate cost-related reports, and implement cost-saving strategies to optimize cloud expenditure. Collaborate with architecture teams to continuously improve design, performance, and security of applications. Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration Develop integrations between on-premise and AWS applications and third-party tools such as ServiceNow, VersionOne, and Sumo Logic. Work with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and modernize infrastructure. steps.
