Role: Systems Engineer Managed File Transfer Location: Irving, TX Hybrid Type: Contract Skills: Experience onboarding with different connectivity protocols (SFTP,HTTP, CONNECT DIRECT) Skilled in designing and implementing custom business processes within Sterling File Gateway Understanding of the integration and interaction between Sterling File Gateway, Connect Direct, Sterling External Authentication Server, Sterling Secure proxy, Sterling Control Center Monitor Understanding of Connect Direct Linux functionality would be a plus Experience with Kubernetes and Helm is considered a plus Job Description: The Electronic Data Exchange (EDE) group is looking for a seasoned programmer with experience in file transmission processes and protocols. Our team develops and supports transmission automation on a variety of platforms so we are looking for someone with strong experience in Linux. We are a growing area that must adapt well to change. This person will work with other senior level Programmer Analysts supporting Linux/UNIX and Windows. This is a critical role for an experienced programmer analyst who has diplomacy, excellent customer service and communication skills, and can handle the pressure of frequent direct interaction with external customers. The team member must be able to meet with customers to gather the requirements of the transmission request. This often involves helping the customer understand what options are available to them. The team member is then involved in all aspects of the process - design solutions, code, test, troubleshoot, document, provide on-call support. Role Responsibilities: Set up SFTP accounts and parameters along with and Perl programing routines to automate file transmissions. Configure Connect:Direct and file agent scripts to facilitate automation scripts. Work with various network, firewall and system administrators to establish TCP/IP connectivity and troubleshoot FTP connectivity issues Assist and mentor others on the team and follow established methodology procedures Provides 24x7 support for the transmission processes in addition to on- call rotations Work scheduled weekend and night hours for supporting maintenance window installations and testing Take direction from project leads as well as performing the tasks of project lead This is a lead role and they need to be able to drive projects and drive the team To be able to understand the priorities of client and his department and drive those priorities and think through their decisions to make sure they align with those priorities and ask questions Good with communication Requirements: 7+ years experience with Unix/Linux application support and programming (Bash /Korn , Perl) 7+ years experience with the following FTP protocols SFTP/SSH, FTPS/SSL, HTTP/s and PGP/GPG 5+ years experience working with TCPIP connectivity setups and troubleshooting, Managed File Transfer (MFT) Strong problem determination/analysis skills Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks/projects under inflexible time commitments Strong writing skills and strong interpersonal/team skills Preferences: Previous experience with Sterling Commerce (now IBM) products: Connect: Direct, Sterling File Gateway, Cleo Harmony or other MFT applications C Programming Java Google Cloud Platform and GCS Bucket storage experience Cloud architecture experience Experience with Microsoft Powerpoint and Visio Experience with Microsoft Office family of products (Word, Excel, Office) Keywords: cprogramm information technology Texas Hiring || Systems Engineer Managed File Transfer || Irving, TX Hybrid || Contract [email protected] http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=2224250&uid= |
