This role will focus on ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our Java-based applications and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices, Java development, and CI/CD pipelines. Responsibilities: Reliability and Performance: Monitor and analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve reliability and scalability. Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack. Develop and maintain service level objectives (SLOs) and service level agreements (SLAs). DevOps Practices: Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Automate infrastructure deployments and configurations. Promote and enforce DevOps best practices. CI/CD Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Automate software deployments and releases. Implement and manage containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Java Development Support: Collaborate with Java development teams to optimize application performance and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve Java application issues. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code quality. Incident Response: Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents. Conduct post-incident reviews and implement corrective actions. Develop and maintain incident response plans. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as an SRE or DevOps Engineer.
