From: Prashant Yadav, ITECS [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Title: Technical Product Delivery Manager Duration: Long Term Contract Location: Coppell, TX Onsite From Day 1 (Need Local Only) Only Local Job Description: Overview: Delivery Managers work to ensure the teams success in delivery, primarily by helping to identify and especially remove impediments impacting the teams ability to deliver. A Delivery Manager supports multiple cross-functional product teams (squads), and serves as the Scrum Master for each of those product teams. Responsibilities Constantly looking to identify impediments early, actively working to resolve those impediments, and escalates when needed Management and tracking of cross team/squad dependencies Management and tracking of all high-integrity commitments. Provides proactive visibility and effectively communicates delivery targets, commitments and progress. Works to minimize meetings and ceremonies, but when they are needed, they are well-run and efficient. Works with QA Engineers to ensure quality work is delivered in a timely manner. Encourages a culture of team-driven decision making and commitment. Encourages team trust and facilitates team building events. Where appropriate, coaches the teams to improve collaboration and outcomes (coaching is the primary responsibility of teams managers) Required Qualifications 5+ years experience as a Project Manager, Delivery Manager or related role working on large enterprise projects. 3+ years experience working with both Onshore & Offshore development teams. 3+ years experience working with API development teams 2+ years experience validating APIs using Postman, JMeter, SoapUI, or equivalent tool. Extensive background in development and delivering complex projects throughout the development lifecycle. Supports problem resolution, resolves issues and acts on feedback and usage of products delivered. Strong time management and prioritization skills. Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, RUP, other) Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to multiple development languages such as Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, Rust, or other modern languages Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or equivalent professional experience or qualifications VERY IMPORTANT: IDEAL RESUME: HAVE TO HAVE: MUST COME FROM SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT BACKGROUND MUST have postman or SOAP API validation and testing Scrum experience QA experience IMPORTANT - experience being in charge of delivering product for multiple teams IMPORTANT - IF THE CANDIDATE IS coming from a bigger company a delivery manager title would most likely not be able to handle all 3 pieces - MAKE SURE THEY HAVE EXPERIENCE IN ALL 3 focus on API validation and testing - not necessarily Postman but need to be comparable IMPORTANT: look for wide breadth of experience from many companies not specifically focused on one methodology JOB WILL BE: 60% scrum master backlog grooming daily stand up make sure body of work going at pace need it to 30% QA validation - drive QA team - validate QA results (what tested and validated) 10% of job is delivery and pipeline process improvement - make sure the CICD pipeline running smoothly- they will not need to build the pipeline - need to be familiar with integrated testing - have good experience with quality in production IMPORTANT: Delivery Manager not a Project Manager - they are 2 separate paths - a delivery manager has nothing to do with requirements they are following the entire process starting from a story perspective making sure it's groomed and finished and complete and quality and process completed and then released to customer.
