Title: Data Engineer Location: Princeton, NJ (Onsite) Job Type: 12 Months Contract Infosys Rate $50 on c2c only Required skills - ETL, AWS, DMS, Data pipelines, Cloud Key Responsibilities Develop, test, and maintain data pipelines to collect, process, and store large datasets. Design and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for efficient data movement and transformation. Build and maintain data warehouses and lakes using cloud-based and on-premises technologies. Ensure data quality, reliability, and security by implementing best practices. Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, integrating and transforming them for business use. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide accessible and well-structured data for reporting and analytics. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance issues and optimize for scalability. Stay up to date with emerging big data technologies, frameworks, and best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role. Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.). Hands-on experience with big data tools and frameworks (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, etc.). Expertise in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala for data processing. Experience with ETL tools (Airflow, DBT, Informatica, etc.). Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data services like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery. Knowledge of data modeling, warehousing, and schema design best practices. Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance regulations. Preferred Qualifications Experience with real-time data streaming and event-driven architectures. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Exposure to machine learning pipelines and MLOps practices. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
