Job Title: Voice and Data Communications Engineer
Job Type: Hybrid (on-site reporting to OCFO office)
Job Summary:
The Voice and Data Communications Engineer will be a key member of the OCFO technology team. This position involves providing technical support for internal and remote users by installing, configuring, and upgrading a variety of telecommunication products, including Avaya, CISCO, Aspect Unified Communication, Webex Audio/Video conferencing, VoIP, SIP, analog lines, eFax, and mobile devices.

Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for telecom-related technical support, assisting users via phone or email.
Monitor and maintain the OCFO Voice Network and report issues to Telecom ISP/Cloud Hosting Vendors (OCTO) using the Remedy Portal ticketing system.
Collaborate with the Telecommunications Partner (Aspect) on voice product upgrades and patch management.
Manage Telecom-related Helpdesk tickets using Zendesk.
Configure user profiles for new hires, including voicemail setup and desk phone display name changes.
Keep Equipment Inventory documentation updated for telephony and Voice Network infrastructure.
Maintain Voice network cabling closets and cable location inventories.
Perform technology refreshes and iOS updates for mobile devices in accordance with OCTO AirWatch policies.
Document work activities as meaningful incidents or tasks in the Zendesk system.
Adhere to OCFO policies and procedures in all tasks.
Maintain inventories of Telecom assets using the FCMS inventory system and Verizon Portal.
Contribute to the documentation of Telecom infrastructure and best practices.
Attend meetings as required to ensure effective communication within IT Operations.
Install and relocate assets as needed, following OCFO IT Operations processes.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical direction and engineering expertise for communication activities, including planning, designing, developing, testing, installing, and maintaining large communications networks.
Ensure proper planning and guidance for architects and planners to create communications spaces and media pathways that meet industry standards.
Develop, operate, and maintain voice, wireless, video, and data communications systems.
Perform complex engineering or analytical tasks related to one or more technical areas within communications.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
1-5 years of experience in developing, operating, and maintaining voice, wireless, video, and data communications systems.
1-5 years of experience directing communication activities for large-scale communication networks.
Experience troubleshooting telecom-related issues, including desk phones, call center applications, mobile devices, and data/voice ports.
Proven experience with telecom systems such as PBX, ACD, and UIP.
Experience with asset management of hardware and software.
Solid technical understanding of network telecommunications and mobile devices.
Proven experience in a Call Center environment.
