The ideal candidate will have a strong background in JavaScript/TypeScript development in a non-browser context (e.g., Node.js). Hands-on experience with the Office API is a plus. This role requires deep technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for secure application development. Key Responsibilities: Develop, test, and deploy Microsoft Office add-ins that integrate with Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Leverage Microsoft Office JavaScript API to build robust and secure add-in functionality. Ensure the add-in adheres to best practices in performance, security, and user experience. Work closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver an intuitive and efficient user interface. Debug and troubleshoot issues related to the Office add-in, ensuring optimal performance and stability. Stay up to date with the latest Microsoft Office development frameworks, APIs, and security protocols. Document technical designs, processes, and implementation details for internal and external use. Provide support and maintenance post-deployment, including handling updates and feature enhancements. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong background in JavaScript/TypeScript development outside of the browser. Experience interfacing with backend services using RESTful APIs. Understanding of basic cryptographic primitives, or a drive to learn them. Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: Proven experience developing Microsoft Office add-ins using the Office JavaScript API. Experience interfacing with backend services using asynchronous websocket protocols. Prior work on security-focused applications. Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
