Summary: Reporting to the Sr. Director, Applications Development, the Sr. SQA Analyst will help with testing activities for Salesforce CRM and other integrated systems. Sr. SQA analyst will work with business analyst to understand business needs and validate it before handing off to users for their day-to-day use of the software. The Sr. QA Analyst will design, develop and maintain test cases and test automation scripts. The result-oriented position provides excellent customer service and standards in support of the organization's mission. Sr. SQA will work with offshore team members and guide them with the creation of test cases. Sr. SQA will also be managing the execution of test cases by offshore team members. Sr. SQA will provide more accurate time estimates for executing the test plan. Sr. SQA will look at the product/ feature development as a whole and execute testing for the whole product/feature vs only specific to the story or backlog work item. Must Have: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or relevant fields (equivalent experience considered). Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience. Must have good knowledge of MS SQL Server. Should have a good understanding of Salesforce CRM. Hands-on experience with manual testing. Good understanding of QA processes, methodologies and approaches concerning Software. Development Life Cycles, including Agile/Scrum processes. Experience in analyzing functional requirements and design specifications to effectively derive test strategies, test plans, and ultimately test cases. Must possess a high level of initiative. Must be resourceful with good analytical skills and a be good team player. Must possess leadership skills to assign work to offshore team members and get the work done. Must be willing to work weekends if needed. Must be available to perform sanity testing of production deployment in the evening hours if needed. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving and learning new concepts quickly. Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines. Experience with a work tracking/ticketing system such as JIRA and Azure DevOps / VSTS. Knowledge of testing web api and knowledge of testing Salesforce applications. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Plans and manages the testing strategy and the application platforms like Salesforce CRM, Campus Nexus and others. Analyzes business requirements to validate it before handing off to users for their day to day use of software. Designs, develops and maintains test cases and test automation scripts. Designs testing required for given functionality when developing test cases, in order to ensure that functionality will meet company quality standards when release. Develops strategy and coordinates testing activities, including functional, performance, system integration, and regression testing. Help identify an area of product/feature for automation testing and initiate efforts for the same by working with Manager. Designs, develops, and maintains test cases and test automation scripts. Responsible for mapping of test cases to business requirements and functional designs. Reviews test results and properly evaluate the stability of the software being tested. Provide feedback and recommendations to developers and business analysts on software usability and functionality. Participate in design discussions to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems. Sets up test environments with the necessary test data and execute detailed test procedures and test cases for assigned products or product modules. Plans and coordinates testing activities with Offshore / Onsite Developers, Business Analysts and Business users as needed. Author and enhance Test plans based on feature requirements and specifications, as well as technical discussions and deep dives with developers. Plans and designs automating and executes automated test cases. Provides more accurate Time Estimation of test plan execution plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates. Responsible for mapping of test cases to business requirements and functional designs. Conduct historical analyses of test results. Help with Bug Triage by partnering with developers, business analysts, or users. Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes. Good understanding of QA processes, methodologies and approaches with respect to Software Development Life in agile environment. Help with hiring QA team members. Independently present the need for additional team members based on work. Confidently participate in hiring Talented QA team members onsite or offshore Mentor new team members. Help create and maintain an onboarding plan for new QA team member onsite or offshore Guides and Mentors offshore team members for creating more accurate test cases and effective test execution. Adheres to College/University policies and procedures and conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the College/University's Code of Ethical Conduct, Compliance Agreement, Sexual Harassment Policy or any of its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
