Our client is looking for an IT Project Manager who has past experience in the RETAIL industry and has previously implemented Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and Supply/Demand Planning software. We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the implementation and replacement of our supply/demand planning system and point-of-sale (POS) system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise system implementation, technology transformation, and change management. They will be responsible for end-to-end project execution, ensuring seamless integration of new systems, stakeholder engagement, and business continuity during the transition. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end project management for planning system and POS system replacement, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives. Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan, including scope, timeline, resource allocation, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (IT, Finance, Operations, Sales, and external vendors) to ensure smooth system implementation. Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, conduct gap analysis, and optimize system functionalities. Manage vendor selection, contract negotiations, and third-party relationships to ensure system compatibility and support. Oversee data migration, system integration, and testing to minimize disruptions and ensure system reliability. Conduct training programs and change management initiatives to facilitate user adoption and minimize resistance. Monitor and control project risks, budget, and performance to ensure adherence to company standards and industry best practices. Provide regular updates and reports to executive leadership on project progress, challenges, and recommendations. Required Qualifications: 7+ years of project management experience, preferably in retail, hospitality, or supply chain industries. Proven track record in planning system implementation and POS system replacement. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches). Experience managing IT system integrations, data migration, and business process improvements. Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, SmartSheets, or Microsoft Project. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and vendor negotiation skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud-based POS systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions. Familiarity with enterprise supply/demand planning, retail business processes, inventory management, and customer transactions. PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is a plus.
