Job Title: Mainframe Assembler Consultant Location: Chicago, IL(Onsite) Job Type: Contract Role Summary Assembler Mainframe Senior Developer is responsible for installing, maintaining, upgrading, and supporting various system software products for TNTs z/OS Operating System environment. They require skills including, but not limited to Assembler, COBOL, PL/1 DB2 database and related tools JCL along with CICS expertise Key Responsibilities: Work on Assembler and PL/1 program to modify, test and debug programs efficiently. Help build a Test environment for the legacy Assembler based application Work on primitive CICS systems and recreate them in lower environment. Necessary Qualifications Skills Required 10+ years of experience required in the following areas IBM Mainframe experience Strong Assembler programming / debugging skills COBOL programming language PL/1 Programming Language JCL CICS DB2 and Strong SQL Skills Experience in developing Stored procedures is a plus Good knowledge and hands-on experience on IBM utilities, FileAid, QMF, SPUFI Knowledge of DFSORT, Version control tool Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
