Implement and enforce 266 NIST security controls, including: o Access Control (AC) o Audit and Accountability (AU) o Incident Response (IR) o Risk Assessment (RA) o Security and Privacy Training (AT) The effectiveness and comprehensiveness of the implemented information security program. Timely identification and mitigation of security risks. Compliance with state and DIR information security regulations. The frequency and effectiveness of security training programs conducted. ISOs ability to respond to and manage security incidents effectively. Develop and maintain a Cyber Incident Response Plan (CIRP) aligned with DIRs IR Framework. Test incident response procedures via tabletop exercises and simulated cyber threats. Implement continuous vulnerability assessments and penetration testing (Pentesting). Verify that security requirements are identified, and risk mitigation plans are developed and implemented prior to the deployment of internally developed information systems and/or related applications or services. Report, at least annually, directly to the agency on the status and effectiveness of the security program and its controls. Inform relevant parties in the event of noncompliance with this chapter and/or with the state agency's information security policies. Request and assist with a DIR security audit. Modify security policies as necessary. Based on audit findings, create a plan to address any gaps and lead the implementation of that plan. Perform additional duties as requested.
