From: Manish Kumar, Scalable [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Title: SAP Basis HANA Administrator Location: San Jose, CA (Onsite) Job Type: Contract Role Description : Key Responsibilities: Incident Management: Troubleshoot issues from the OS level, including work process monitoring, checking logs, analyzing OSS notes, providing performance analysis, and writing Root Cause Analyses. Operational Procedures & Documentation: Write and maintain operational procedures and Adobe standard documentation to ensure seamless system operations and clear instructions. Support & Availability: Provide on-call support during weekdays and weekends as per the scheduled rotation, ensuring continuous system uptime and quick issue resolution. System Administration: Oversee SAP HANA system administration tasks such as system monitoring, patch management, performance tuning, and disaster recovery. Core Competencies: Digital: SAP S/4HANA, SAP BASIS - HANA Required Experience: Experience (Years): 8-10 years in SAP Basis Administration Essential Skills: In-depth knowledge of SAP Basis tasks: technical planning, installations and configurations for SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, SLT, Solution Manager (SOLMAN), SAP Router, and more. Expertise in system upgrades, OS/DB migrations, Unicode conversions, and SSO configuration. Hands-on experience with SAP HANA system implementation, conversion for S/4HANA solutions, kernel patching, transport management, and backup/recovery processes. Deep expertise in SAP HANA, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and system migrations (DMO tool). Strong SQL scripting skills with experience in creating stored procedures and performance issue resolution. Proficient with SLT, SAP Data Services, and SAP Data Archiving. Experience with SAP system sizing using SAP QuickSizer and optimizing performance using SQL traces and Early Watch configuration. Familiarity with Linux operating systems, hardware, networking connectivity, and integration of remote systems in the SAP HANA landscape. Expertise in SAP landscape design, installation, upgrade, performance tuning, and system integration. Strong knowledge of SAP transport management, system refresh tasks, client copies, and automation of SAP basis tasks through scripting. Desirable Skills: Extensive knowledge of the SAP NetWeaver platform and familiarity with BRTOOLS for space management. Ability to work on diverse SAP projects, such as applying support packages, performing kernel patch upgrades, and configuring the Transport Management System (TMS). Familiarity with Early Watch configuration and analysis, SQL-based performance impact analysis, and ongoing system optimization efforts. Qualification and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields (preferred).
